NES Chemistry Practice Test
Chemistry is a complex and interesting science, and many teachers desire to share their knowledge of it with students. Becoming a secondary chemistry teacher requires you to take the National Evaluation Series Chemistry exam to become certified.
This 150 multiple-choice question test takes 3 hours and 45 minutes to complete, and provides an on-screen scientific calculator, formulas and constants pages, and a periodic table. As with most NES science test, the NES Chemistry exam is divided into five parts beginning with an 18% section assessing the teacher’s mastery of the scientific method. The next 18% focuses on matter and atomic structure. The following two sections each make up 23% of the test.
The first one tests understanding of the concepts of energy and chemical bonding. The second asks about chemical reactions. This leaves the final 18% to deal with stoichiometry and solutions. Mometrix Test Preparations put its research team to work and developed the NES Chemistry Study Guide to help make test preparation more productive by combining key chemistry concepts with test taking strategies. When used with the NES Chemistry Flashcards, you have a complete review kit you can take anywhere. When you think you’re ready, try out the free NES Chemistry Practice Test Questions.
