Answer

A: The first midwife receives $2000 per month, and she uses 2/5 of that amount for rent and utilities.

($2000)(2/5) = $800 =$

So the midwife pays $800 for rent and utilities, which leaves her with
$2000-$800=$1200

The midwife divides the remaining $1200 in half.
$1200/2=$600

The midwife save $600 and buys medical supplies with the remaining $600.
