The goal of the ICTS Reading Teacher Exam is to measure the requisite skills and knowledge needed to become an educator in Illinois. The content of the exam is aligned with state standards, and is divided into 4 subareas: (I) Language, Reading, and Literacy, (II) Reading Instruction, (III) Assessment, and (IV) Professional Roles and Responsibilities. In total, there are 125 multiple choice questions on the exam, and the test sessions lasts 5 hours.
