ASP Safety Fundamentals Fire Prevention and Safety Review
While fire prevention is commonly taught within homes, schools, the workplace, and all over, the occupants of these facilities can only do so much. At the end of the day, it is up to the expertise and craftwork of an associate safety professional to ensure that fires are a slim possibility within the work environment. You’ve likely studied fire prevention extensively as part of your ASP certification training. This subject will also naturally feature on the ASP certification exam, and forms one of the exam’s seven sections.
The ASP Fire Prevention and Safety exam is fairly minuscule. It accounts for approximately 11 percent of the full exam’s content. Much like its sibling sections, the Fire Prevention and Safety test organizes its questions under a set of individual knowledge categories, also known as “topics.” More specifically, these topics are Fire and Emergency Management; Fire Controls; and Fire and Explosion Hazards. You must know the ins and outs of how to craft evacuation and safety guidelines for the work site; how fire works on a scientific level, and how to control it; and what elements contribute to the ignition and growth of fires in the workplace.
The good news is you have resources to help you organize all of this information in time for exam day. The Mometrix Test Preparation team would like to offer you our ASP Fire Prevention and Safety practice test. We have designed our practice test to give you an accurate glimpse of what to expect from the full-fledged exam. From its structure to its content, our practice test is as close a mirror to the real thing as possible, which gives you the chance to prepare yourself for test day as thoroughly as possible. We encourage anyone who wants to familiarize themselves with the ASP exam to use our practice test.
We also offer an ASP study guide for further study assistance. Feel free to incorporate one or both of these tools into your study plan!
