ACSM Registered Clinical Exercise Physiologist Practice Lessons
The American College of Sports Medicine Registered Clinical Exercise Physiologist, or ACSM RCEP, exam is an assessment used to measure the test-taker’s knowledge and ability to be an adequate exercise physiologist. The ACSM RCEP exam consists of seven content areas. These content areas are as follows: Client Assessment, which will cover 20 percent of the exam; Exercise Testing, which will cover 20 percent of the exam; Exercise Prescription, which will cover 20 percent of the exam; Exercise Training, which will also cover 20 percent of the exam; Education and Behavior Change, which will cover 10 percent of the exam; Program Administration, which will cover 5 percent of the exam; as well as Legal and Professional Considerations, which will cover the remaining 5 percent of the exam. The test-taker will have up to three hours to complete all 140 questions.
