Registered Dietetic Technician Practice Test
By successfully passing the Dietetic Technician, Registered (DTR) exam, the test taker certifies themselves as qualified to become a registered dietetic technician. Though there are other requirements in order to receive this credential, the main obstacle to many is the DTR exam due to its length and how tough the questions are.
Our free DTR practice test provides the content you need to know in the format you will see on test day. However, knowing important DTR exam information can really help you prepare, so let’s look at what you need to know! This computer-based exam consists of at least 110 multiple-choice questions with around only around 80 being scored.
The other 30 questions are trials questions that will not count for or against you in your number of correct answers. The breakdown of content on the exam is as follows: Food and Nutrition (10%), Nutrition Care for Individuals and Groups (34%), Principles, Education and Training (7%), Foodservice Systems (22%), and Management of Food and Nutrition Services (27%).
In addition, test takers will have 2 1/2 hours to complete the examination. It is important to note that the scores for this examination are on a scale of 1 to 50 with the minimum passing score of 25.
