GED Question of the Day

Answer

  1. Pulmonary artery

The pulmonary artery transports non-oxygenated blood from the heart to the lungs. Once there, the blood can get oxygenated and then transported back to the heart through the pulmonary vein, Choice B, and then circulated to the test of the body. Capillaries, Choice A, are the smallest blood vessels that carry blood to tissues and allow for transfer of oxygen and nutrients. The aorta, Choice C, is the body’s largest artery that carries oxygenated blood away from the heart.
