CLEP Analyzing Interpreting Literature Practice Test

The CLEP Analyzing and Interpreting Literature exam allows students not wanting to take a college course on analyzing and interpreting literature to gain college credit without having to take a class. The test requires a broad knowledge of poetry, drama, fiction, and nonfiction, but does not assume test takers have read specific works of literature.

The exam has 80 multiple-choice questions with a time limit of 98 minutes and an optional essay section which includes writing two essays in 90 minutes. The first essay involves analyzing a short poem, while the second asks the student to apply a generalization of literature to a book or play that they have read.

The vast amount of information you are required to know and apply for this test can be intimidating. We at Mometrix have created a free practice test that covers the same topics as the CLEP Analyzing and Interpreting Literature exam with a goal of aiding you in succeeding on test day.
