This book reflects the test outline perfectly. it condenses the information and makes it so much less overwhelming compared to the ONS text book— which is a nightmarishly overwhelming to try to read. I solely used Mometrix to read, their practice test book, the free online mometrix questions, the 100 something questions on the ONCC website, and the study guide (practice questions book) that the ONS textbook goes with. I studied consistently for 6 weeks before taking the exam. I passed first try & did so well in every subject category that when I renew, I can do my renewal CEUS in any oncology category I want.

IIn addition to several ONCC practice tests that I purchased, I exclusively used this study guide to prep for the OCN exam. I also did the practice tests in this book. The “rationales/answers” provided for each question were really helpful. The book mirrors the content and format of the test, and the study tips are good (answer every question even if not sure, etc). I liked the to-the-point style, but still comprehensive nature of this study guide. I passed the exam in one attempt.
After two failed attempts I purchased this book and I was able to pass the OCN. The book is great in breaking down points and also has an online portion that you can purchase and use through your computer, phone or tablet. I just took my OCN for the first time and passed. This book is a quick summary of all things oncology. It was a great refresher and I learned things I didn’t know. I have five years experience in oncology and I did invest two months for studying. This book is an easy read and has a test at the end that is VERY similar to the actual OCN test.
