Write an essay where you tell us about what drives you in your pursuit of your graduate degree.

When I was in the fourth grade, I had a fantastic teacher named Mrs. Green. She was my ELA teacher and was the first teacher that I remember truly shaping my love for reading. Partway through my fourth grade year, I broke my left arm. Her kindness and consideration for me during this hard time left a lasting impression on me. During my fifth grade year, I was excited to learn that Mrs. Green was our school's new librarian! Although she was only my librarian for one year, her love of literacy and education influenced my choice to someday become a Reading teacher and, ultimately, a librarian.

I am happy to say that I've realized half of that dream already! I am currently a third grade Reading and Writing teacher. I can genuinely say I love my job and am happy to be doing it. But, there was a part of me that always wondered if I'd ever be able to reach that big dream of becoming a librarian. Luckily, I was blessed with the opportunity to attend graduate school to pursue that dream of becoming a librarian by receiving a master's degree!

I have one semester left but lots of bills to pay. Earning this degree would change my life, allowing me the chance to change thousands of children's' lives as well upon becoming a librarian. Earning this scholarship would help me do that.

Please consider awarding me, Dannin Clutter, the Mometrix Graduate School Scholarship. Thank you for your consideration.
