Write an essay where you tell us what test preparation practices work best for you and why.

When it comes to studying, I have tried so many methods to see which is best. I know many that study by maintenance rehearsal, which is using repetition to memorize information short term. While that may work for many, over time, it is not reliable and efficient for me. For me, the most helpful test preparation practices are writing out the most important information like I am taking notes. That way, I am not only reviewing every bullet point I've taken in class but also engraving the most important information in my long term memory. Even though this is extremely helpful for me, the downside to this method is that it Is very time-consuming. Depending on the range of how much the test covers, I study around one to three hours the day before. Then, I would wait an hour before I sleep after studying since it is psychologically proven to help with remembering information. My psychology teacher taught us a method that should be useful where we spread out the time we study in a week. This way, we are not cramming information that might leave out brain once we get nervous while taking the test. This is more useful since it is not as time-consuming as we might have other work to do for other classes the day before the test.
