Write an essay where you tell us about the moment you realized you wanted to become a teacher.
When you were young, did you ever dream of what you wanted to become? My dream was always to become a teacher. It started when I was just a kid playing school in my basement, and than it became the career I decided to shadow on career day in 8th grade. When I hit high school, I joined a Teacher Education Academy. Within this program I got student teach. It was then I knew I wanted to be nothing else but a teacher. Each day I got to walk into a classroom and work with kids. I loved seeing them grow each and everyday. I can not see myself doing anything else. It is an amazing bond that is formed with the students, one of trust, happiness and hope. This kids also have a huge impact on my life that I will never forget. I think of the kids that I taught often. Whenever I do I am filled with joy. I believe that teachers plant the seeds in students that grow a lifetime and will always be with them. I want to be the impact on children's life that is forever.
