Write an essay where you tell us about the moment you realized you wanted to become a teacher.

Ever since I was a little girl, I have wanted to be a teacher. I have always loved learning. When I was younger, I had my own classroom. I would pretend to teach my dolls, sometimes I would even teach my younger brother. The idea of helping others learn, amazes me. It is a great feeling of accomplishment when you know that you have helped an individual learn and achieve a task. I have chosen specifically to teach children anywhere from PreK-5. This is when it is most important for students to learn and grow. At a young age, children's minds are still growing and developing. Their minds are like sponges and can take in any information taught to them. These years are the most important time to teach students how to read, write, add, subtract, etc. I chose to pursue a teaching degree for PreK-5, so I can help the students grow and find a love for learning as I did.
