Write an essay where you tell us about what inspired you to pursue a nursing degree.

As long as I can remember, I have had the desire to help as many people as I can. I have always admired the nurses that I have seen at work. Whether that be in a doctor's office or a hospital, I have always looked up to the strong men and women who devote their time and energy to ensuring patients have the resources and support necessary to recover and live their lives to their fullest potential. The relationships nurses build with their patients are on a more personal level than that of doctors and major healthcare professionals. Nurses ensure their patients are cared for and, in some ways, aid to the emotional healing of their patients.
Nurses are not always recognized for the amount of work they do in a given day, and it is the dedication that they have to their jobs that I admire. Even though they may not be seeking active recognition for all they do, they continue to dedicate themselves to their work and ensuring their patients receive the best care they can provide.
Nurses have the great ability to touch the lives of many individuals through hard work, diligence, integrity, and goodwill, and that is what has inspired me to pursue a nursing degree.
