Write an essay where you tell us about what inspired you to pursue a nursing degree.

When I was a little kid I've always wanted to work in the science field. Science has always interested me and was always my favorite subject. When I became a freshman in high school I started becoming interested in joining the military, at first it was the Air Force, possibly wanting to work as a Biological Scientist. After talking to an Air Force recruiter, I decided that's not what I particularity wanted to do, I wanted to be hands on with someone. I was always interested in human anatomy and learning medical facts and more. I enjoyed becoming First Aid, CPR, and AED certified. When I was a junior I talked to a Navy recruiter and decided that's the path I wanted to follow. I decided to join the CNA program at my high school and was set on becoming a Hospital Corpsman for the Navy. After finding out of my back issues I couldn't purse that. I've worked hard in my CNA program, knowing that I would want to continue in that field. I've heard how it was to be an RN, a part of myself was dying to pursue that job. I heard about the stories of ER patients and Trauma patients, becoming more drawn to those fields then I did with Cardio, Pediatric, or other types of patients. After hearing a story of why an intoxicated man needed to have a foot amputated, I've realized that I wanted to work in that field. Since then, I've been attending college along with high school starting on my prerequisites for the nursing program along with working on my CNA. I've worked hard since, and I won't stop working hard to meet my goals.
