Write an essay where you tell us about what inspired you to pursue a nursing degree.

My ideal future is to meet the criteria needed to be accepted into California State University's nursing program and get my bachelor's degree. My passion for the healthcare field has led me to my dream of becoming a registered nurse. As of passions, I also want to work part time anywhere in the field of arts such as painting. I see myself working in a position that allows work-life balance, allowing my time away from constant and overwhelming thoughts about work, yet challenging my creativity while at work to have a sense of balance in my lifestyle. The position that I intend to be in would be a remote position, more so a travelling nurse, allowing me to occasionally travel on a national basis. I would be able to realize my potential, accomplish my purpose, and be financially independent. As I continue to learn things and develop my skills and expertise, I could manifest it in service of others.
What motivates me to achieve my goal in becoming a nurse is knowledge. I have come to believe that knowledge and the application of that knowledge is power. The more we learn, the more we know. The more we know, the wiser we are. The wiser we are, the better we are at making our lives work and life's problems. Not only our own but of others too, especially in a hospital setting. I learn to grow myself, to know more, to be more, and to contribute more. My mother, a nurse, has told me, "The journey of learning never ends" and I truly agree. What motivates me to learn is my belief that everyone has so much untapped potential and there is much we can do and achieve, and through learning we can all strive to unleash our potential.
