Technical Writer

Position Summary

We are looking for a careful, versatile Technical Writer to create clear, accurate, human-authored test-preparation content that helps test-takers succeed. This is a remote, project-based contractor role with flexible scheduling.

The role includes researching source material, organizing technical information, writing and editing instructional content, and creating practice questions with answer explanations. You will help turn complex or unfamiliar material into content that is accurate, accessible, and useful to learners.

Role Qualifications

• Strong working knowledge of English language, grammar, and writing.
• Strong research, organization, editing, and proofreading skills.
• Ability to explain technical or unfamiliar concepts in plain, learner-friendly language.
• Careful attention to accuracy, consistency, source use, and detail.
• Comfortable learning about and writing across a variety of disciplines.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Word, Google Docs, or similar writing and document-formatting tools is helpful.
• Previous experience in technical writing, editing, instructional design, education, or a related field is helpful but not required.
