Write an essay where you tell us what test preparation practices work best for you and why.

My favorite technique to use to prepare for any test is to make my questions and answers into a song. For me, writing songs and listening to music is very therapeutic. I can usually memorize lyrics of a song better after I listen to it a few times. Using this method of studying has granted me the opportunity to make A's on some of the hardest tests; even in the most difficult classes. Using this method has also granted me the ability to be a straight A student, and it eventually helped me to become Valedictorian of my high school class in 2018. Now, I am in college, and I still find myself making A's using this method. Even though I have always been a straight A student, as I continued to upgrade to the next academic level, studying for tests seemed to get harder. I hated having to stay up late at night with my mom until she made sure that I had all of the answers correct. So, I started using my song method when I started middle school. I didn't know how I was going to pass my last history final of 6th grade because I had to memorize all of the states in the U.S. and their capitals in alphabetical order. I truly believe that if I did not have the creative ability to make up a song to help me with my studies, I would've failed my test. Thankfully , I was able to make a 100 on my final test. I know that making a song may not be in everyone's favor, but I truly believe that you can find a great study method that doesn't require multiple hours of studying in the middle of the night, or trying to cram for a very hard test minutes before, you can ace any exam.
