Write an essay where you tell us what test preparation practices work best for you and why.
As an equally visual and auditory learner, I do best by listening to lectures, watching videos, taking notes, and looking at pictures and footnotes. When I take notes, I use different color paper and pens, different color highlighters for each subject. For example, I could use orange-colored notebook paper for math and red-colored notebook paper for English. If you cannot get your hands on colored notebook paper, try colored pens or highlighters. They work as well. After taking the notes, try highlighting each bullet in a different color so that you can think back to the color associated with that question. For people who do not enjoy writing and highlighting, there is always technology.
Try typing your notes with colored ink and highlighting because what you can write on papers is the same technology can do y=for you now. It is the more natural way out, but if you physically write something down, you may do better retaining that information. Now, there are different websites and apps that people can use for studying, but one of the best hands down has to be Quizlet. On Quizlet, you can: create your own study sets, learn them, make flashcards, type them, match them, and test yourself on them. Also, you can search for whichever class you are taking and use their study sets if you do not want to make your own.
Overall, if you want to improve your study habits, start by doing a little research if these tips I have given do not work for you. The plan is to improve those study habits so, you will. All you have to do is think like a shark. Sharks only go forward, never backward.
