Write an essay where you tell us what test preparation practices work best for you and why.

It’s been proven through science that information has a higher probability for retention if it is taught through experiential learning. This idea is commonly used in classroom’s with games or group interaction. My biggest problem in school is studying for math exams. Studying for math can feel tedious and often I can get distracted by more interesting tasks. To negate this effect, I study using the Kahoot trivia game. It is extremely effective as a study method due to the settings that can be adjusted. I can use Kahoot to simulate a real testing environment by providing a minute timer to complete each question. This minute time duration simulates the amount of time a student is supposed to spend on each problem, along with allowing me to overcome stress that revolves around timing. I can practice finishing on time and putting a full attempt onto every test question. Kahoot provides a chart showing the answers people picked, allowing students to pair off into groups and assist each other’s understanding. This teaching style is also extremely effective for my extended learning. The teacher can analyze the problems that I struggle with and provide extra practice that specifically targets the problem. Finally, Kahoot is my favorite studying method because it’s fun for everyone and people are engaged in the activity. I can receive the assistance I need to succeed and attach the information to a fun memory that will make it easier to recall. I am able to interact with my classmates in a learning environment that is both effective and enjoyable.
