Write an essay where you tell us what test preparation practices work best for you and why.

I have a process to preparing for exams. First, I go rewrite my previous notes. Rewriting notes will jog your memory without feeling like you're studying. During the rewrite, I underline and highlight specific terms and ideas that I feel are most important for the exam. Next, I create a flashcard set. I use the flashcards to memorize vocabulary words and concepts. To memorize concepts, I make bulleted lists of what is important in each concept as well as 1 - 2 examples of the concept in action. I also create rewards for myself to encourage myself to study. The main rewards I use are desserts or watching tv shows. They are minuscule things, but having a reward will push me to finish studying. I have used this system throughout my college experience and have never earned below a B+ on an exam.
