Write an essay where you tell us what test preparation practices work best for you and why.
My test preparations usually vary according to the type of class that I am taking. However, whatever review materials or study guides that are given by the teacher are extremely important. I always make sure to use any help the teacher gives or attend TA review sessions both a week before the test and immediately before it. I make sure to drink a lot of water and get a good night of rest before the test day. Chewing gum while studying and during the test helps me focus. I don't tend to complete practice questions for tests but study the material that has been given over the course of the unit. Using flashcards assist in memorization as well. Another practice that works well is talking to someone who has no information about the unit. You teach the person the concepts of the unit, teaching helps solidify the material in your brain. Above all, repetition of the material helps me memorize. A combination of all these practices over the course of the week before the test have never failed me.
