Write an essay where you tell us what test preparation practices work best for you and why.

Junior year in high school was when I started having goals. Goals in which college I wanted to attend or what career I wanted to get. This meant having to grind my teeth and working as hard as I can during these last two years of high school. Preparing for tests wasn’t the easiest and I’ve tried many different options. I would try to go to the library and study in the private spaces, or listen to Beethoven classical music because I heard that was effective at cafes. But I realized these test preparation settings fitted for some people, but not for me. I was well aware that when prepping for a test, it cannot be seen as relaxing. So before I sat on my desk, I listened to calming music and made sure nothing was on my desk, no distractions. Lighting was important, so I installed so many lights in my room. And when studying for tests, I made sure to eat fruit and coffee to feel energized. It was all about finding the right study space for me. And ever since, I’ve been using this method even in college. So I would advise experimenting different study spaces and as for tools to study, we are a generation blessed with so many tools online.
