Write an essay where you tell us what test preparation practices work best for you and why.

Rain dance and pray the test is canceled. But in all seriousness, I remember a time I spend all-nighters, cramming for exams, constantly reading material. However, it yielded inconsistent results, as some days I appeared to be "on the ball," and other times, no amount of studying would've lodged the necessary information in my mind to pass the exam. Thus, I took a step back and reflected on the optimal studying solution. After much thought, I realized the best method for myself is not constantly re-reading information, but to make an effort to constantly recall information. If I am able to call upon the needed information and explain it in 5-year-old comprehension, I feel 100x better than my original habits. At first, the results didn't really reflect the change, as I hadn't done an effective job. But as time progressed, I used flashcards, post-it notes, and teaching others to reinforce my understanding of the topics. Through this, I've been able to learn topics I'm interested in, in much less time with more efficiency.

Thank you for this opportunity and I hope my insight provides feedback on studying.
