Write an essay where you tell us what test preparation practices work best for you and why.
I listen to music, get away from noise and distractions and read the material. If that does not help, I will find a video online that explains the material in a way that I can comprehend.
Reading the material out loud also helps... especially when I'm really tired. If I don't, I notice that my mind becomes too hazy to completely absorb what I read or watched.
If I need to, I might even walk away and take a break, get food, play an instrument for a little bit, and get back to my studies... anything to break the monotony of preparing for a test.
It helps my mind reset to focus on the test I'm studying for.
If I can do some kind of application, like example math problems or something that involves kinesthetic learning, I find I do far better, since I'm a very hands-on person.
