Write an essay where you tell us what test preparation practices work best for you and why.

All throughout my high school years, I never really had to study for any tests. I usually was able to remember everything we had learned in class and be able to make really good grades on my tests. In college, there was no possible way for me to remember. We learned so much information each day that my mind was always so full of information and I had to study for tests. I have three specific methods I use to study and make really good grades on my tests.
1. The Note Card Method
I use the basic note card method to study, but I put a twist to it. When I study with note cards, I put three terms or questions on the front and the answers on the back. I highlight the first and third terms to separate all of them and not get them mixed up. This method works really well for me and is my most useful way of remembering when I am studying for exact answers.
2. The Formula Method
When you are doing math in college, you will have to learn many formulas and remember them. The way I remember formulas is I write out the many formulas on a piece of paper, put them in a jar, shake them up, and pick one. Once I pick one, I have to figure out what the formula is used for and use a problem from my old homework assignments to choose. This has made a major impact on my formula memorization.
3. The Outline Method
When I have to study for a test that involves writing essays or short answers, I use this method. When using this method, you have to make sure you write out the question and answer. You have to be careful not to mix it up with the other questions and answers, so I usually write them down, cut them out, and glue them on a piece of colorful construction paper. I love doing this because it helps me remember all of the long information and makes it really fun to study.
