Write an essay where you tell us what test preparation practices work best for you and why.

When I am preparing for a test in any of my classes I always make sure I have a review for the unit I am being tested on. I finish the review and then look back at notes that were taken during the course of the unit. For each subject my test preparation is different. For example, in math class I look over my finished review and observe the method the equation is solved. Whereas, in Science or History I try to memorize certain and important terms that I know will be on the test. However, one class is very difficult to truly study for which is English, that class you have to read and understand a book or learn from each class discussion. When I am stuck or confused on a certain aspect of a lesson I will ask one of my classmates or my teacher in class. I believe my method of test preparation works for me because I normally like to teach myself certain subjects so I would only ask for help if its a last resort. I am not saying that's for everyone but I do know that it works perfectly for me. I like to just look over reviews or notes because the most important thing to do it pay attention in class. A test should show what you obtained in class not what you can cram into your head before the exam.
