Write an essay where you tell us what test preparation practices work best for you and why.

The test preparation practice that works best for me is using key questions to my advantage. I recently took an introductory psychology course as a dual credit class, in which the teacher gave us the key points and questions for each chapter. Before a test, which normally covered three or four chapters, I would first look through the questions and find the answers in the textbook. Then, a day or two later, I would meet a friend just before the test the review the content, having her ask me the key questions to test my knowledge. If I could not answer I would simply find the answer again, encouraging reinforcement of information. Through using this technique, I scored very well on all of my tests and ended the class with an easy A. This method worked well for me because it helped reinforce my memory on the topic. Intro to Psychology is a class with a lot of information given in a short time span, covering as much about the field of psychology as possible. With so much information it could get overwhelming trying to learn it all, but I found that quizzing myself on the topics covered helped me to remember them better.
