Write an essay where you tell us what test preparation practices work best for you and why.
First is to take a self-taught approach. What I do is, I read the text-book and do the practice problems in it. Since the explanation and practice problems are in the same place, it makes it easy to study. The main purpose is the understand the material from a fundamental point. This fundamental understanding will make the practice problems easier to do.
If reading the text-book doesn’t work then depending on the test you can try two more approaches. If you can use notecards then use those, and if not then watch videos on practice problems. The Organic Chemistry Tutor is a YouTube channel that does practice problems for a lot more than just organic chemistry. He does very thorough walk-through on all types of problems.
The last step to be fully ready for your test is to ask questions and get help from either your teacher or a fellow student that knows what they are doing. This is a crucial step because they can answer questions that your textbook can’t. It is important to keep in mind that every test is different and you should study according to that test. Sometimes it’s better to not even read the textbook. So be sure to do what helps you and don’t be afraid to ask for help.
