Write an essay where you tell us what test preparation practices work best for you and why.
This year I took a class in study skills, and I learned that studying can maximize your learning with specific strategies. I learn by relying on visual and auditory skills. I always set a study schedule to combat procrastination, and make sure to turn off distracting electronics. One of my best test preparation practices are making flashcards. Flashcards are an ultimate study tool. I can make them online, or on paper, either way I have to type or write out the information, and this helps me encode the information into my memory the first time. Then when I practice flipping the cards over, I check my memory recall of what I have learned. Flashcards help visual and auditory learning work together when I read the cards out loud to hear the information, and I can see the words written down. Flashcards are a great study tool, because they combine different ways of learning and help me remember information for exams easier. Flashcards are important because I can check and review what I know, in order to accurately prepare for the exam I should be able to pinpoint what I am struggling with. I know that without putting in effort in studying I will not succeed easily. Studying pays off, especially when I use my study tools.
