Write an essay where you tell us what test preparation practices work best for you and why.

I've been in school for quite some time now and with that, I've learned multiple ways to study for tests, the do's and the don'ts. With that being said every person is different in how they learn, retain, and are thus able to reiterate their knowledge when it comes to the test, so what works for one person may not work for another person. The most important advice I can give as a procrastinator is do not wait till the last minute, keep a schedule, know your test dates, and start studying early. Review your material daily, if not every other day, it will start to stick, and you will start to retain it without even realizing it. Also, for me, using colors for charts and the such helps me recall the information within because the colors stand out to me. The final thing I can suggest that works the best for me and I've learned is do not spend all night studying, do not try and cram. There is nothing worse than walking into any test completely exhausted. A good night's rest, waking up early to review a few things you may be less sure of, and a good healthy breakfast. There's a reason teachers have been giving this advice for years, because it works, it just takes some learning and experience of going through what doesn't work, for one to realize that what they've been telling you all along really does do you some good!
