Write an essay where you tell us what test preparation practices work best for you and why.

My top three test preparation practices are:
1) Never cramming the night before: I usually start to prepare at least a week before the date of the actual test. This helps me because cramming always ends up with me freezing up during the test. I also feel more confident because I know that effort has been put in.
2) Taking a break: The day before my exam, I usually dont do much of the subject unless I feel like I didn't do enough in the previous week. I use this day to calm down and not be overwhelmed by even more material. This works for me because again, I don't do well when I cram information.
3) "Teaching": When I am studying material that I just can't seem to grasp, I "teach". What I do is act like i am teaching in front of people, even though I am alone, and go through the subject I am trying to learn. As a more auditory learner, I tend to remember what I say more than what I do or write down. An alternative to this could also be to talk to someone about the topic.

I hope this helps.
