Write an essay where you tell us what test preparation practices work best for you and why.

In high school, I was the type of student who never studied but was still able to get good grade. Once I got to college, I learned that would not be the case anymore and I would have to develop some type of study habits. Here is what my ritual is. When I first learn of a test that I need to study for, I break out my calendar. I then prepare a week and a half before the test and set out a schedule. Each day, I try and master one section of the material. I do this by reading a section of the chapter, and as I am reading, I rewrite the section on another piece of paper. This helps me to remember the material. I also highlight key points along the way as well so I have a spot I can go back to for really important information. This takes about a week or see to finish usually. Once I am done with that, I give myself a one day break to refresh. Then 3 days before the test, I start using flash card to help me make sure I am fully prepared. This has worked for me so far.
