Write an essay where you tell us what test preparation practices work best for you and why.
Throughout my whole life, test taking has never come easy for me. Whether it be having test anxiety or struggling to remember the material, I always found myself searching for ways to help me do well on tests. I am a visual learner, so I try to make creative ways to help me study. When trying to memorize material for tests, I like to write down terms and definitions on colorful sticky notes and scatter them all over my wall. To remember which term goes to which definition, I try matching them and sticking them together on the wall. Not only does this create a more fun way of studying, but it also helps me to visually remember the stuff needed for the test. That way, when I go into the test, I just imagine my wall and which colorful sticky notes went where. Another great test preparation practice that I use is turning facts into songs. I really love listening to music, so I create the material I need to remember and put it into the tune of a song. This helps me to remember facts because, while taking the test, all I have to do is sing the song that is filled with all the information that I need.
