Write an essay where you tell us what test preparation practices work best for you and why.
I personally strive for excellence in everything I do, so having the right study or test preparations is key to fully grasping a concept. As for me, I am more of a tactile learner which is why I like feeling or touching the concepts because it allows me to get a better feel for what I am dealing with. My tactile learning style is greatly supported by visuals. Considering my learning style, my test preparation practices are tailored to the learning styles that I know will help me with the comprehension of the subject. Depending on what I am doing, the techniques may be different, If I need to do the math for a project in my engineering math class, I like creating a little model that I can feel and see because it provides with an idea as to how I want to tackle the bigger problem. For math or science tests, I like setting up diagrams or tables that that help me connect one concept to the other so everything I am trying to understand is cohesive. As for my reading and history tests, I like to hold and read my notes as I walk around a small area because I learn best with movement and feeling, but that really can't be done with reading and history. I also like to study during or around the time period I am taking my test because I was once told by my teacher that the studies have shown that it has improved students' grades; it has actually worked really well for me and I still use it to this day. I have several practices and preparation techniques based off my learning strengths to solve a variety of problems and challenges.
