Write an essay where you tell us what test preparation practices work best for you and why.
Normally I know when I have a test and I will plan ahead to make sure I have some day where this test is my primary focus. When I have days with no other homework, it is automatically a study day no excuses. If I do have homework, but I can finish this work in class or before I get home, then I will. This strategy works better when you have multiple test on one day. You can still relax the rest of the day after you study as well. If you get out of school at 2 pm or 3 pm, spend an hour studying on each test. This still gives you around 5 hours to yourself or to hangout with some friends even. Although studying is very key, so is taking time to process the information you learned. Studies have shown that if you learn material up until the day of the test, that using the day before as a relax day will help you memorize the information. Instead of your short term memory, it goes to your long term memory. When you have multiple tests in one day, which I do on most Fridays, it essential to store the information in your brain as early as possible. If i'm getting ready for finals week. I take a slightly different approach, which includes reviewing weeks before, and normally one subject at a time. Trying to multitask on different subjects is very hard to do. Having time helps a lot on relieving stress, as well as the extracurricular activities you decide to use. I believe the running works the best, or yoga. Do something that clears the mind. Test prepping is very had, but not being prepped during the test is much harder.
