Write an essay where you tell us what test preparation practices work best for you and why.
The initial complaining and growling technique always seems to begin my test prep routine. Sitting in the chair as the light gleams on all of my fluorescent lit worksheets. I turn up the music to where it puts me in a groove and I can whisper to myself you got this. Then it all begins. I start out by noticing each little note I made during class. My highlighters calling my name so they could glide across the words covering my pages. Allowing myself to think of examples for each question that I understand from actual life experiences in order to fill my index card with clues. My hands begin to ache and the songs begin to bore me and that’s when the second wind kicks in. I move from the desk to the bed transferring over all my work. I’m doing my best at this point to find the motivation to finish my studies. I look on my quote covered wall and realize it’s time to get this done. “If You can’t push yourself, how do you expect anyone else to do it for you”. These words remind me that this is my choice, my choice to whether I pass the test, my choice whether or no I pass the class, and with those choices come the choices of graduation and transferring out. At the end of the day I have to use what I have in my mind to get me where I want to go in my life.
