Write an essay where you tell us what test preparation practices work best for you and why.

Over the past four years of my high school career, I have been exposed to many different test preparation practices. There have been many of those that have helped me throughout the years. My freshman year science teacher, to help us memorize the periodic table of elements, had us listen to a song on YouTube repeatedly till it was drilled into our brains. My sophomore year english teacher had us make a paper book with a picture, definition, and sentence for each of our vocabulary words in it. We were to read through the book, especially at night time before we went to bed. It really did help us memorize the words and their definitions. I was able to associate a sentence, using correct context, with the vocabulary word. My junior year of high school, I had to memorize the square roots up to 25 for math class. I made a little tune to help me with that, just like my freshman year teacher did with us, to help me memorize them. I sang it to my teacher when we had to "turn them in". To learn more vocabulary words last semester, I taped the flashcards with the words and definitions in common places I went in my house. I also made quizlets that I was able to look through on my phone, since that's what I was doing most often.
