Write an essay where you tell us what test preparation practices work best for you and why.
When preparing for a test, it helps me best when I am able to step out of my own mind before cracking down on information. I am an actress so I find it easier to pretend to be someone else for a little bit before focusing on a stressful situation. After I’ve found myself creating a little skit in my head or improving, or even just going to play rehearsal, it’s easier for me to sit there absorb the information from my study packets. As an actress, I am taught to memorize lines and not only does that make my scenes go by easier, but it also makes it easier to memorize facts. I’m usually one who goes over information I need memorized with a friend over and over again. This helps with the repetition especially if I move around. Considering I have a house to use, I think back to the information I learned by remembering what I associated it with when walking around my house. It makes memorizing anything easier.
