Write an essay where you tell us what test preparation practices work best for you and why.

When I am preparing for a test the first thing I do is take a deep breath! I know that I cannot be successful on a test if I am too stressed and anxious when I am studying. Then I head to a local coffee shop, get my order and spread all of my stuff out on a table. I learn best when I write down information so I start by looking back at all of my ugly, messy and unorganized class notes. I take my time with all of my colored pens and markers and start rewriting my notes in a blend of cornell notes and outlines. It is a personal blend that has taken me years of classes and notes, and failed quizzes, to develop. Using the questions for broader topics and then breaking the details down with numbers and bullet points. Not only does rewriting all of the information help me to remember it, I now have a complete, organized and pretty set of questions and answers to study from! Studying was something I struggled with for a long time! I could not find a strategy that did not entirely bore me and also helped me improve my test scores. With my hybrid note taking style I have been able to raise my test scores and have been able to study for hours at a time. I would recommend finding a personal note taking style to anyone looking for a new and effective way to study.
