Write an essay where you tell us what test preparation practices work best for you and why.

The best test preparation is simply be in the moment. Get up and go to class and be active in class. If you allow your mind to wonder it often leads you to an unpleasant of neutral places, so do not waste your time in class dreaming of your to do list or anything else. Stay focused on the moment and your amazing mind will absorb more information. Where you plant your feet is where your undivided attention needs to be, so when you sit in class be there 100%. Being present and aware in class will contribute greatly to your preparation for tests and help to eliminate some of the studying on your own. It also provides a great platform to ask questions to clarify your knowledge of the subject.

Once you have the basics it’s now time to work. Good results are earned, so doing the work allows you to achieve more. As any successful athlete knows practice allows you to become better, so the same goes with test taking for a student. The more you practice the better you become at analyzing information to make a better informed decision. Taking practice test over and over can help you be more successful when game/exam day shows up. Utilizing apps that quiz you on the subject and make flashcards will show beneficial to scoring well on exams. Taking practice test/quizzes will allow you to identify what you know and not just what you memorized, which will help you apply your knowledge on a test to produce better results.

Thomas Edison summed it best up with, “Opportunity is missed by most people because it is dress in overall and looks like work.” Great test preparation comes with showing up, being in the moment and practice.
