Write an essay where you tell us what test preparation practices work best for you and why.
Before I can even think of studying I make a plan. This plan usually consists over 3-4 days for about 30 minutes each day. Spreading studying out over a course of days improves my ability to absorb the material. On the first day of studying, I create a review guide, this can be one a teacher provides or one I made. Once I am done with the review guide, I start to study those questions. On the second or third day I make flash cards. The flash cards I make are different from your regular flash cards. To begin with, I use paper flash cards, I divide my review guide into subjects that go together. Then I select different color markers and rewrite my review on flashcards. Each subtopic is written in a different color, to help me distinguish them from each other. After all of this is done I relax. I think the most important factor in studying is to not stress, you either know the material or you do not. I think my test preparation is the best because it maximizes my time, without making me feel burntout after.
