Test preparation is vital for high scores. The worst thing you could do to prepare for a test is cram. You should pace yourself while also studying a lot. Before an important test like the SAT, ACT, AP Exams and many more, time management is essential. This is why you should make a schedule. This schedule should include content review and many practice questions. The work planned for each day should only take about an hour. Studying in small fragments like this will allow you to retain more information. Every day follow this schedule in order to be prepared for the test. During these daily studying sessions, go to a quiet place. Use highlighters for key content. If the test you are preparing for is content heavy, I suggest making an outline. This outline should interpret the information in easier words that you understand. After you have created an outline, practice questions are necessary. Use questions from old exams. Try to do the problem to the best of your ability and then check the answer key. If you do not understand the problem at all, looking at the answers is still great. This will help you understand where you went wrong and teach you how to do a similar problem. After following your daily schedule, you should feel very prepared. However, the night before the test sometimes causes nerves. In order to relieve this stress, read over your outline and look over some of the questions you did. The night before the test, you should not study for more than an hour or two. After this you should relax. Eat a good dinner and go to bed by the latest 10:00 pm. This will assure you are well rested for the exam. After following these steps, you will be extremely prepared for your exam.
