Write an essay where you tell us what test preparation practices work best for you and why.
Tests almost always follow a predictable and useful pattern. Therefore, the best practice when preparing for any major test is to examine similar tests from the past. In the case of major standardized exams such as the SAT, AP, or Praxis tests, there are free test-prep practice booklets or apps and prior exam questions available online. Taking them (or at least looking at them for patterns and key wording) will introduce you with they style of questions and the manner of expectations you can assume will be in your test. For smaller tests, usually you can review your own past quizzes to procure a better understanding of what will be on your test and how it will be asked. This works because it helps you narrow down the content you study to what will likely be on a test, which will save you time and increase your chances of studying what will be included. It also subconsciously allows you to account for the format and criterion of the exam so you are able to do better in less time... and possibly even with reduced test anxiety!
