My Strategy For Studying

When it comes to studying, many people have different strategies they like to go about it. Mines personally would be being alone with music quietly playing in the background. When I’m alone, I feel like it’s easier for me to not become distracted as I’m very absent minded at times. Working on my desk is another minor, but effective detail. If being on a bed or couch,im more prone to end up relaxing rather than studying. I also like to divide my work by color coordinating them into different categories and subjects. By using highlighters, I can split the subject which will be simple for me to remember since I’m a visual learner and I can recall the information. Another good tip that I like to use is reading out loud or rewriting the material I am learning. When doing this, it also helps the information stick to my brain which I can call to mind with my test. And I know a lot of people like to jam all the new material in their heads, but I for one love to take a break every thirty minutes just to make sure I don’t get overwhelmed. When taking test, the last thing I want is to freak myself out, so I like to be open minded and prep talk myself with encouragement since test taking makes me anxious. If having some time before the test, I would also recommend doing a quick overview of your notes. It’s better to be safe than sorry when it comes to my grade. A simple look back on your notes could engage your brain in the subject and get your gears running, preparing you for your test. And what’s better than studying? Asking a teacher for help. Many people don’t think to use the energy of the source, but teachers are more than willing to help you out. It’s good to ask questions and confirm the material to make sure it’s all correct and such. Simple things like asking questions in class or even coming before or after class to speak to the teacher about what you’re learning and understanding the material. When using all of these tips, I can safely say that they’ve worked magic for me and possibly you too if you give it a try. Next time a test comes up, just look back on these suggestions and see how you do. Good luck.
