Write an essay where you tell us what test preparation practices work best for you and why.

As much as you cannot go wrong with the oldest trick in the book, flash cards, the method is not creating an understanding of the material. If you have a vocabulary quiz, or need to remember a few formulas, flash cards are the way to go. However, for larger tests I need to understand the topic, not memorize it. A few days leading up to the exam I either call my best friend and teach everything to her. Granted, she mostly puts me on mute, but I genuinely believe the best way to understand something is to teach someone else. If no one is able to listen and hopefully ask a few questions I will occasionally I will have a conversation with myself pretending to teach someone, but sometimes you got to do what you got to do.
