Write an essay where you tell us what test preparation practices work best for you and why.

To prepare for a test I start in the classroom. I take good notes and pay special attention to the words professors say that may not be on the PowerPoint, or if they are on the PowerPoint I highlight them. Professors have a way of telling you what will be on the exam without saying it outright. The next step is taking the notes I have taken, plus the notes they gave me, and condensing them down into main ideas that I can understand. This not only allows me to go over the material, but I am writing it down again which helps it stick in my brain. I then take advantage of any practice questions or exams the professor provides in order to test where my weakest points are in the content. Finally, quizzing classmates on the information or having them quiz you is a great way to remember the information you may be struggling with.
