Write an essay where you tell us what test preparation practices work best for you and why.
Through years of taking tests and studying, I have had my fair share of failed tests and the main reason I did poorly was from procrastination and not paying attention. It is extremely important to pay attention throughout the unit because even if you don't understand something right away, you are still retaining some of the information and will learn it quicker than trying to learn everything on your own the night before the exam. Along with paying attention comes the reason most students bomb tests, procrastination. Leaving all of your studying until the last minute never ends well and even if you are the type of person who can still do well studying the night before, you will always get your personal best results from spacing your studying out. Waiting until the last minute to study can leave a lot of unanswered questions and unknown material. Trying to fit a whole unit's curriculum into one night is just a disaster waiting to happen and there is a reason it takes teachers multiple days or even weeks to teach the material. To summarize, I believe that the most effective test preparation practices include spacing your studying out, not procrastinating, and most importantly, paying attention to what your teachers are saying because chances are they know the material 100x better than you do.
