Tell us a little bit about yourself and your plans for college.

After graduating high school, I plan on working two jobs to help save money for college over the summer. I work at Culvers and will be promoted to a Team Leader as soon as I graduate and become an adult since I am not eighteen yet, and I will be working at Too Tall's, a local ice cream shop. I plan on attending Grand Rapids Community College and getting my general education courses completed. As I am responsible for paying for my college, I am hopefully going to work while going to school to help reduce the cost of college. A benefit of going to a community college, for me at least, would be the fact that I get to stay home with my family and my dog. It will ultimately be cheaper since I won't have any room and board to pay as well but I couldn't imagine going away and leaving my dog behind as she is my best friend. After completing my general education courses, I plan on transferring to Grand Valley State University to Study Nursing. My mother and grandmother were both nurses and I want to follow in their footsteps. As my grandmother is suffering from Leukemia, I want to specialize in Oncology so I can help the future cancer survivors go home to their families as my grandmother may or may not come home to my family.
