Write an essay where you tell us what test preparation practices work best for you and why.

I believe that great test preparation begins when you obtain the information you are to be tested on. Whether it be in the form of typing on a computer or scribbling in a notebook, my greatest secret to preparing for a test starts with my notes. While in class, I will jot down any little piece of information I think might be important. After the class has finished, I assign myself the project of going through my notes and tidying them up. This allows me to review everything that I have taken in during class and prioritize what I believe will be on the test. I generally organize my notes in such a way that I can distinctly see the difference between definitions and terms. In addition to my notes, I make flashcards for every section and chapter in my textbooks.

I firmly believe that repetition is the key to success when it comes to preparing for tests. Every person's mind is different and works in different ways, but repetition will never be detrimental to anybody. I know this method works for me because it is tried and true. I have used this method since I started high school, and it is how I achieved such a high level of academic excellence.
